Friends Legal have agreed a new two-year training and match-day kit partnership with Spartans FC Women’s team.
Players Michaela McAlonie and Elena Santoyo-Brown joined Friends Legal Managing Partner Tony O’Malley to launch the new Macron match-day kit at The Spartans Community Football Academy, ahead of the opening SWPL away fixture against Hibernian Ladies at Ainslie Park Stadium on Sunday afternoon (KO: 1pm).
The new sponsorship deal carries forward from Friends Legal’s previous two year agreement to be the SWPL’s team main sponsor. Additionally Friends Legal have committed to providing further investment to the women’s team by providing all SWPL players with specifically tailored strength and conditioning input/sessions on a weekly basis.
Tony said: “At Friends Legal we strongly believe in the power of community to achieve great things so we are delighted to continue our partnership with Spartans Scottish Women’s Premier League team. It is also part of our philosophy to give something back. Spartans were able to demonstrate a clear vision for their club, along with clearly defined values that they wished to promote.”
“We were delighted to become involved back in 2018 and we hope that our ongoing involvement will assist them in developing women`s football generally and specifically within their community, wellbeing amongst all of their players and staff, and ultimately in meeting their desired aim of becoming one of the foremost women`s football teams in Scotland.”
Debbi McCulloch, SWPL Head Coach, said: “This new two year, five figure deal/partnership, allows us to continue to support the players and coaching staff to perform at the highest level. The investment will go directly to our SWPL team, to ensure they have the best of everything on and off the pitch. We are all extremely grateful to Tony, and Friends Legal, for all their support.”
